COMPENSATION PAY OUT FOR CUSTOMER WHO SLIPPED AND FELL ON A WET FLOOR

Jody Cantillon in the Litigation Team at Cantillons Solicitors successfully represented a client, who suffered serious injuries when they were caused to slip and fall on a wet floor of a shop.

When our client walked through the door of the shop, she fell immediately on a wet and hazardous floor and, as a result, suffered serious injuries.

A personal injury claim was submitted to the Injuries Board (now PIAB). The case proceeded through PIAB, but was released due to the complexities of our client’s injuries.

A High Court Personal Injuries Summons issued.   A Full Defence was filed by the Defendant, denying any liability for the accident.

The matter ultimately settled for significant compensation, without our client having to go into Court.  As part of the settlement, our client’s legal fees were paid by the Defendants.
