Settlement for Boy with cardiac issues arising out of delay in diagnosis of Kawasaki disease

Lyndy Cantillon, Partner together with her Assistant Mary Barry recently settled a High Court action on behalf of a little boy from Limerick who sadly suffered damage to his heart due to the delay in diagnosing and treating him for Kawasaki disease.
The case was taken by the boy’s mother and was ultimately settled by way of Mediation. Due to the uncertainty of the boy’s medical condition, the case was compromised on a 5 year interim basis.
