Teenager compensated for injuries suffered due to a trampolining accident

The Litigation Team at Cantillons, recently negotiated a Circuit Court settlement for a young teenager who suffered a patellar dislocation, at an adventure centre, while on a school tour. Due to the lack of proper procedures and policies at the Centre, a fellow pupil was caused to jump, backwards, from a height, onto the inflatable aircushion where our client was present, causing him to suffer injury. Following his injury, his parent and next friend incurred significant expense, in circumstances where he was required to attend for prolonged physiotherapy. The hearing of his case was postponed due to Covid restrictions. The Plaintiff turned eighteen during the summer months and the settlement agreement was negotiated remotely during Lockdown, without the requirement for his attendance at Court. Our client was suitably and appropriately compensated for the injury he suffered and his parent was reimbursed for all out of pocket expenses incurred. His legal fees and outlay were discharged by the Defendant.
