Our client was working in a hospital when a heavy object fell from above and struck our client on the head, causing serious injuries.  The case proceeded through the Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB) but was released as the Defendant was initially disputing liability.  High Court Personal Injuries proceedings were issued and ultimately, the Defendant admitted liability. Our client was out of work for a number of years, and as a result suffered loss of earnings and a loss to their pension.

The case was listed for hearing before the High Court when the case settled for significant compensation.  The settlement was made without our client having to give evidence in Court.
