SIGNIFICANT COMPENSATION FOR CLIENT WHO FELL OVER A PALLET PLACED OUTSIDE A PETROL STATION
Posted in News on Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024
Amy Connolly and the Litigation Team at Cantillons Solicitors recently successfully obtained significant compensation for a client who suffered injury, loss and damage following a fall which she suffered at the entrance of a petrol station.
In summary, our client was caused to trip and fall over a pallet which had been placed near the entrance/doorway of the petrol station and as a result, she suffered a significant injury to her right ankle.
The matter was referred to the Injuries Board (now the Personal Injuries Resolution Board). The Defendants rejected the PIRB process and an Authorisation issued, permitting the matter to proceed through the Courts.
We brought Circuit Court Personal Injuries Proceedings on behalf of our client. The case settled for significant compensation, without our client having to give evidence in Court. The Defendant also paid our client’s legal costs.

* In contentious business, a Solicitor may not calculate fees or other charges as a percentage or proportion of any award or settlement. Many Personal Injury Solicitors portray themselves as “no win no fee Solicitors Cork” or “no win no fee Solicitors Dublin”. This term can be misleading and it is essential that you discuss fees with the Personal Injury Solicitor you ultimately choose. At Cantillons Solicitors, we are entirely transparent.
