A machine operative, whilst assisting his employer in clearing out a yard, suffered a crush type injury to his left hand as a result of which he instructed Cantillons who successfully brought a claim on his behalf before the Injuries Board. The operative was awarded a significant amount of compensation from the Injuries Board and also avoided the necessity to issue Court proceedings.
