Garda Compensation

The Litigation Department at Cantillons Solicitors recently represented a member of An Garda Siochana who suffered serious personal injuries as a result of an assault on duty.

Our client was spat at and suffered post-traumatic stress (PTSD) as a result of the assault.

We issued proceedings by virtue of the provision of the Garda Siochana (Compensation) Acts, 1941-1945.

After hearing the evidence, the Court awarded our client significant financial compensation for the post-traumatic stress suffered.
