Melissa Gowan and Jody Cantillon of the Litigation and Probate Department were delighted to give a talk on Wills, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Healthcare Directives and the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 to Family Carer’s Ireland at Tuckey Street on the 12th June, 2017.
Melissa begun the talk by outlining the current procedures in relation to Enduring Powers of Attorney and then moved on to the proposed changes under the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015. Melissa also discussed Healthcare Directives. Jody then spoke about the current Wards of Court system and the proposed changes by the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015.
It is clear that Associations like Family Carer’s Ireland provide great support to those good people in the community who are caring for loved ones.
