Eye Surgery Case Settlement For Cantillons Solicitors

Lyndy Cantillon and her team recently settled a case for a young woman who suffered a lifelong eye injury following a LASEK eye surgery. The Plaintiff in this case underwent a Laser Eye Surgery in 2015, to improve her eyesight. In advance of the procedure, the Plaintiff was not advised of the risks associated with this procedure, including the fact that she was a high-risk candidate (due to previous laser surgery) for developing a complication known as Recurrent Erosion Syndrome. Unfortunately, the Plaintiff went on to develop Recurrent Erosion Syndrome which left her with excruciatingly dry eyes. She must carry lubricating eye drops with her at all times, and apply these drops every 2-3 hours per day. Cantillons settled the case by way of Mediation this week for a significant sum.
