Death of 57 year old man following deficits of care amounting to medical negligence at Cork University Hospital
Posted in News on Thursday, July 28th, 2022
Orla Kelly and the medical negligence team were pleased to act on behalf of Mrs Colette Fennelly and her daughter Megan regarding the sad and needless premature passing of their beloved husband and father in Cork University Hospital.
The hospital ultimately apologised for the admitted failings. The family were devastated to learn that his death could and should have been avoided but for the failings and shortcomings but they accept this admission. However it is baffling as to why the admission and apology took so long considering he died in March 2018, over four years previously and furthermore an Inquest had taken place in May 2018 and proceedings issued in late 2019 but were fought in full until June 2022.
