Compensation for worker who suffered injuries in a workplace accident as a result of faulty machinery

Our Client was required to use a machine for which they received no training. The machine was also defective and hazardous.

The case proceeded through the Personal Injuries Assessment Board (PIAB), but was released due to the complexity of the injuries.

A full Defence, denying any liability, was filed by the Defendant employer. Ultimately, an offer was made for full and final settlement of our Client’s claim. Having consulted the Book of Quantum, and having considered the extent of our Client’s injuries, Cantillons Solicitors advised our Client to reject the offer.  Ultimately, we were able to settle the matter for compensation in excess of the original offer.

The settlement was made without our Client having to go to Court.
