COMPENSATION FOR CLIENT INVOLVED IN HEAD ON CAR ACCIDENT

Jody Cantillon and the Litigation Team at Cantillons Solicitors recently obtained significant compensation for a client who suffered injury, loss and damage arising from a head on car crash.

Our client was driving along the road when all of a sudden a car, travelling in the opposite direction came onto her side of the road impacting with her car, and causing significant injury, loss and damage.

The matter was referred to the Injuries Resolution Board (previously the Personal Injuries Assessment Boad). PIAB made an assessment (put a value on the claim) but we advised our client that the compensation was inadequate and that the offer should be rejected. Our client took our advice and thereafter, a High Court Personal Injuries Summons issued.

The case ultimately settled for significant compensation (considerably higher than that offered by PIAB) without our client having to go to Court.
