Jody Cantillon and the Litigation Team in Cantillons Solicitors recently obtained significant compensation for a client who suffered injuries arising from a head on collision with a truck.
Our client was driving along the road when all of a sudden a truck, travelling in the opposite direction, came onto her side of the road impacting with her car and causing significant injury, loss, and damage.
The matter was referred to PIAB (now PIRB). An Assessment was made which would not have appropriately compensated our client. On our advice, our client rejected the PIRB Assessment and High Court proceedings issued.
The case ultimately settled for significant compensation (significantly higher than the PIRB Assessment) without our client having to go to Court.
