COMPENSATION FOR CLIENT INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT AT WORK

Amy Connolly and the Litigation Team of Cantillons Solicitors, recently successfully obtained significant compensation for a client who suffered injuries, loss and damage following an accident at work.

In summary, our client was caused to suffer a serious head injury when the door of a piece of equipment rebounded and collided with her forehead, as a result of which our client suffered injury, loss and damage as well as a significant psychological injury.

The matter was referred to the Personal Injuries Resolution Board (PIRB). However, given the extent of our client’s injuries and the complexities of the claim, the Personal Injuries Resolution Board was not in a position to assess our client’s claim and an Authorisation issued, permitting the matter to proceed through the Courts.

Thereafter, Circuit Court Personal Injuries Proceedings issued.  The matter ultimately settled without our client having to attend Court.
