Cantillons successfully represent client who suffered injuries as a result of an uninsured driver

Jody Cantillon of the litigation team recently represented a client who suffered serious injuries (both physical and psychological) as a result of a road traffic accident which was caused by an uninsured driver. Due to the absence of insurance, it was necessary to join the Motor Insurers’ Bureau of Ireland to the proceedings.

High Court proceedings were issued on behalf of our client and liability was subsequently admitted.

The BUREAU attempted to settle the claim for less than its value and these offers were rejected by our client, on our advice. Eventually, Jody and the team successfully achieved a substantial settlement for this client, without the need to go to Court.
