Award for HSE worker assaulted during the course of work
Posted in News on Wednesday, August 24th, 2016
A HSE worker assaulted by a patient during her course of work has settled her action for a relatively minor injury to her back and for mild PTSD against the HSE. The worker claimed that she had not received the appropriate control and restraint training from the HSE and neither had the HSE provided her with a safe place of work. Although the HSE fully contested liability until the day of the trial, the action settled on the day for a generous sum and Circuit Court costs.
